Mannlicher styer m1886 11x58mm black powder rifle.
This particular m1886 was built for export for the chillie navy but all were captured by the loyalist’s and used against government forces , after 1900 they were sold off around the world , so on the butt stock is the chillie marking , also has JS and BT inscribed in the woodwork , this rifle was later converted to a fencing rifle and had all sharp points cut away including bayonet lug and stacking rod and iron sights , this has had stacking rod and iron sight re fitted and comes with the spring loaded bayonet practice plunger that goes in the barrel end , because it was converted for practice the bolt is a dummy so a round couldn’t be accidentally fired.
This rifle has been lightly restored , stock re oiled and and all metal re blued and treated to match the condition as it would have been in a soldiers hand 120 years ago , this rifle is uk obsolete calibre and does not require a certificate or licence.
